Unable to sell

I started working on a quiz solution when my daughter had managed to fracture her right hand.

It worked well for her and definitely helped her with her learning outcomes. Seeing the potential I extended the solution which can be used by school students. The main idea is to merge a quiz based learning app with school ERP. I don't see this happening in the current scenario even in reputed schools in metros, while I am thinking to market my app in tier 2/3 cities for schools where they don't have any thing at all.

The cost is next to nothing, hence the solution can be offered very cheaply.

Unfortunately I am unable to break the sales puzzle.

Partly because, I am working full time and don't want to create issues of dual employment or conflict of interest and hence can't work on the sales side full time.

Let me thank you first for reading this long post.

Now, any suggestions how to approach this?

  1. Do PMF 1st ask random people to test so they can give overall feedback.
  2. If those people think its good tool then invest in some sales person, who can look after sales.

Feedback from friends and family is very good. But the challenge is to get the leads and be able to sell. How to find someone good in sales to start with something that doesn't have any market is another thing.

Can you test it with people who don’t know you personally? The product might be great but it will have some scope for improvement, right?
Also when you reached out to those schools what was their feedback?

IMO: ERP solution should be in the future because no school will try a pre-PMF product and integrate it into their existing systems.

Try launching as an edtech/game and then can go the integration route based on feedback

Also I don't think there will be a "conflict of interest" since this is at a very early stage.

There might be a contract clause that may stake claim to any tools he builds while being employed, best to check the contract for such clauses

How does a quiz solution with with an ERP solution? imo they are two very different verticals probably best kept separate. Would be easier to sell.

I can help with marketing and sales, I'm experienced with zero to one bootstrapping.

The problem is that schools and colleges are very poor at adapting technology. Try to integrate with current solution used by school like smart boards and tablets provided by school
