Unable to understand a word of All Hands Calls
In my experience so far - having attended numerous All Hands Calls in various orgs that I've been at so far - I've hardly ever grasped entirely what's been spoken of. I've often observed that the speakers spoke on a very high business level, and I'm not able to connect the dots to the bigger picture and any impact that the decisions might have on a granular level. As an Individual Contributor, can anyone share any tips on how to make sense of All Hands Calls?

Thankfully mine have been straightforward so far. Just labels and numbers - churn, revenue, pipelines, burn
Long term plans can be vague which is usually by design
As an IC yes it looks like just a formality. It is ok. But as you start getting / aspiring for leadership positions it will start making sense .
Listen and connect . See how those statements are making an impact in your unit . Just start thinking / empathising with people in leadership positions in your unit , your team, units around u . Just be aware and soon it will start making sense .

These all hands call is simply a waste of time. This is just an ignorant belief by the leadership team that people will get clarity the moment they speak.
These suits somehow believe that their vague statements will somehow motivate people to stay on course during hard times or expected hard times.
There are more of an internal PR stunt. They add the same value to people as the interviews offered by movie stars just before a flim is released.
