Unacademy Fresh Layoffs ❌
Unacademy to slash 25% of the workforce in another round of layoffs scheduled for the first week of January. The affected employees will not be paid severance pay because the company is struggling badly with the cash. 2024 is setting a sad start for the Edtech ecosystem .

They had an opening just a couple of days ago.
The moment I saw their logo, I skipped it even though I am actively looking now.
That's the kind of name EdTech has made for themselves.
Humble request to all employees, join an EdTech co. only if it is your last resort. But again your life, your wish.
What happened to 4 years (soon to be 8 years of Runway), my guess is they are shutting down a vertical

Layoffs have started, yes. But only about 100-200 folks will be cut off, not 25% of the workforce (not that it makes it okay).

25% I doubt ?if yes, does that include offline and online? Heard people saying everything is fine until today.
