For a sweet year or so, it was a force. At that time VS was taking most of the decisions and GM was burning investors money on relevel and other stupid ideas. Then GM started making decisions for Unacademy App, rolled out scoring of BU's and that was the start of the downfall. Karan left, and now almost every senior leader has left. A few good people are left, but they also switched to offline. Imagine A & R are running the entire business now. Kisi ka toh samay kharab chal raha hai. A&R ka ya Unacademy ka 😂

There are gaps, there are easy ways to fix these gaps and the upper management is doing nothing to fix anything! It's all a blame game and new copied ideas being churned out. It's a shame of what it has become.

GM is such narcissistic character that he can threaten people of being fired while they are already serving their notices. Someone someday will give him a mouthful or handful. Such is the unculture of Unacademy. It's bunch of yes men whiling away their time till such time they don't find another job. Everyone looks busy due to GM but Hota Kuch nahi Hai.

Unacademy layoffs have begun 🤡

Unacademy has just laid off the entire team of NextLevel and will be shutting the business. It is interesting to note that Relevel underwent a major pivot after failure and was rebranded to NextLevel. Gaurav apparently blindly wrote how this product will take on LinkedIn and make CV's redundant. Guess another unacademy experiment has failed but several employees are facing the brunt of the CEO's immature experimental nature.

More than 600+ people have been laid off silently at Unacademy. This round is going to continue till 30th June. The mental harassment and pressure is off the charts. And the irony is that they are still hiring people from the outside while laying off current employees.

100th Layoff round at Unacademy

So again Unacademy has asked people to leave, and asked them to resign. Leadership is so clueless about what they are doing, they fired 3-4 people whom they had hired a month ago. Imagine the situation 😂 And I don't see this stopping at Unacademy anytime soon They are aching left, right and centre. Still some people are making advt videos with Sachin. And the nalla has time to tweet and enjoy vacation, I pity the investors who funded them.
