Usual scene before Voting day

Is everyone here ready to part with their savings?

Everyone here is educated, works decent jobs and pays taxes. I want to know your thoughts on upcoming general election, who are you going to vote? what do you expect will be the result? Do you think there is a level playing field for all the parties? Please give a general overview as well as local overview of your state/constituency. Ps: please be civil and avoid distasteful language.

On average, every Indian pays 24% of their income in indirect taxes. They in no way contribute less to a country's development than corporate folks. However, when a government announces a welfare scheme for the marginalized, everyone starts shouting "freebie. The Indian middle class is often caught between two worlds, and they can feel insecure and resentful of both the wealthy and the marginalized. If India had set up an unemployment benefit (for certain period after job loss) such as the one in developed western countries, will it be considered a freebie? Especially during the current market scenario?

I am fed up here as I don't see accountability anywhere. There was a Telugu Movie starring Mahesh Babu where he being CM says, in foreign, people are responsible and accountable and they made their lives beautiful. How amazing, right? I truly resonate with that thought We lack accountability in everything we do. - if something goes right, it's us, if wrong, it's them! - We don't hold our govt politicians on their promises, on delivering things of value - Companies go on screwing us, we don't give a damn. Refunds are processed without timelines, cases in country are backlogged for years and years - We cannot even keep our cities clean, our air pure and our water drinkable and we are least bothered by it - We cannot maintain our own infrastructure like Buses, railways, trains. We fucking are stealing mugs from railway toilets due to which it's chained (wtf!) We don't want responsibility and no one should question us. How are we really supposed to grow? Stringent laws in place helps with accountability of companies who at all times think how can I squeeze more money from people and screw them Accountability keeps everyone in check. Change my view!

Top 3 Indian companies have mcap > 150B Do you think this is really required? Can't this money be spent on health and education?? Both combined it's nearly $ 20B. Taxpayers money should go into capacity building of poor or infrastructure etc...not just for freebies or reveri. Sometimes I think democracy is killing India. Your views?
