Totally bogus and quackery. Based on concepts like 'like cures like', 'water memory', and 'dilution increases potency', none of which have any scientific basis at all. 
  
 Has never been proven to be effective in any scientific clinical trials. Any benefits that individual believers claim, are likely due to placebo effect, or wishful thinking, or logical fallacies like post hoc ergo propter hoc. 
  
 Most developed and western countries don't legally allow homeopaths to call themselves 'doctors' or to call homeopathic formulations as 'medicines', unlike in India. But here in India everything works by the logic of 'Babaji ki jai ho', so it's flourishing here 😆

 So it's placebo and doctors taking time to hear out the patients in detail unlike general medicine folks (who are overwhelmed with consultations).

Well I have seen homeo tablets do work...but the liquid not so much

I keep hearing mixed opinions on homeopathy. People say it is placebo and I have seen serious problems getting cured. Placebo ke liye you need to mentally believe in it first, right?

Recently, read about Heavy Metal Toxicity from Ayurvedic formulations. Many over the counter Ayurvedic* formulations have been found to contain heavy metals like Arsenic, Lead, Mercury etc. 

Furthermore, lack of scientific validation is a little concerning. There is also a pressing problem of lack of standardization in prescriptions where multiple doctors might recommend different strengths of dosages.

It also does not help that practitioners are extremely resistant to change. One might think that with passage of time we learn more about compounds and their interactions with the human body. Then, shouldn't any field of medicine improve over time as a function of that? 

These medical systems have a long history and deep cultural roots, which can sometimes lead to resistance to change or adaptation in the face of new scientific evidence or medical advances. 

On the other hand, I find several merits in the Ayurvedic approach. The holistic approach is actually a great way to look at general wellness of the body, essentially how several systems interact with each other, which is sometimes missing in the reductionist approach of modern medicine. 

Also, focus on prevention of diseases is another merit. Finally, natural remedies are easily accessible to people and being generally non-invasive in nature is a strong point in it's favour especially in a country like India where access to healthcare has been difficult for many.

I’ve always wanted to stay fit and active. I wanted to start my trekking journey this past year in the hopes of scaling Mt. Everest(too ambitious?) before I turn 30 years old. I’m 24 right now.

So, I started going to cult for strength training, adjusted my diet and ran a couple of times per week. Until, one day, I sensed a shooting pain in my back, I couldn’t stand for 2 days. I had incurred a disc injury, a bulge in L5-S1 which in turn lead to Sciatica.

The pain from this was fucking debilitating and it has affected me ever since. I can’t exercise, run or even walk before the pain kicks in.

This took a huge toll on my motivation because fitness is something I took very seriously. 

Fast forward 6 months to now, the pain is still there with no hopes of it going down. It’s fucking depressing.

So I know this guy who goes to the same gym as me, 

The dude always looked kinda lonely so I would often greet him good morning or howdy,

However, I never got a chance to sit and talk to him as he always seemed in a rush,


Yesterday, I saw him talking to one of those  E-Girls on Instagram in the locker room, you know the ones which offer sexual video calls in exchange of a few thousand rupees,

I unintentionally read the chat while he was reaching out for his sipper,

And I saw "I dont want to have sex, I just want to talk to a real woman about my mental issues" something


While this sounded absurd and funny to me in the first moment of reading it, It left a resounding wave of abyss in me.
On how some people could be extremely lonely , and all they need is a hug !!!!

While his actions may not be the most mature of all, I do recognize this feeling.

Hi GV community,

Sharing a personal issue here but i trust this community số much that i hope i will get some good suggestions.

I have been dealing sexual health issues ( ED and PME ) , i am 26 years old, and it has put my relationship with my girlfriend almost to an end.

Earlier issues wasn’t even that severe like i was atleast getting hard morning erections and all but since couple of months even the morning erections have become rare and normal erecetions have become weak

I want to understand from GV community if anyone here or their known has dealt with this issue or have been able to fix it ?

Smoking - No
Drinking - occasionally, not more than twice a month
Physical activity- moderate, doesn’t hit gym regularly but do go out for walks and all

Currently I have 1 baby boy of 4 yrs old. Had one spontaneous miscarriage last year 2023 Aug. post that unable to conceive. We went for 4 months of fertility treatment, did not get success. But my wife got health issues and side effects. After that when we stopped taking treatment, health wise she is completely fine. It is 5 months since stopping treatment, health is stable now, but still unable to conceive. Should we seek doctor help again for treatment? Or should I avoid these treatments? Kindly advice. I am not in a state to take any decision. Thanks.
