Weird office anxiety
Hey guys, I have this weird anxiety whenever I'm not able to understand the work that is given to me or If I get too complicated work. Basically i'm not stressed even if my workload is high, as long as I know exactly what to do And if I get very little workload but the work is very complicated, it stresses me out to the point where I don't feel hungry at all. If I'm confident, i'm very confident and when I get stressed out, even simple problems look very complicated and makes my life hell. Do any of you guys feel the same and if you do, how do you handle this weird nature

Think about any problem as a set of checkpoints. That includes a simple Google search, pinging a colleague for a banter over a complicated work you just got, asking around teammates for clarity, doing some walking(whatever clears your mind) for a while, etc.
Talk to your manager or the one who assigned you the problem after you've done your bit. You won't have any hesitation learning that whatever you could have done, you did. Now whatever you don't know is for you to learn.
Crumble a problem down in way it becomes a set of check boxes
Always try have your manager as a mentor. Helps to have a mentor from a cross functional team as well. Never hesitate to seek help from these two people, and never feel insulted to admit to them that you don't know. Unless you seek help or ask questions you are not even going to create an impression that you're open to learning.
I was in exactly the same position in my first job... If I know, no one question me.. If I have slightest of doubt, I am doomed. And you know what helped, BREATHING... and i mean conscious, I can feel my breath, I can feel my pulse, I can hear my heart beat, kind of breathing.. Just take a pause, go to washroom or balcony and breathe... I dismissed it as silly gyaan, but tried it out of desperation.. It worked wonders... And once I start being confident in situations where I didn't know the complete info, there was no turning back... I took my positions of responsibility, lead teams, spoke freely in front of crowd etc... Just by pausing and breathing to calm down and reinforce self confidence
