What are the benefits of doing MBA ISB/abroad?

I have heard mixed opinions about ISB/Abroad MBA. People who have done MBA what benefits did you get in MBA college and post that ? Did it help you in getting better job opportunities, better perspective of business, better network?. OTOH I have heard that MBA is an useless degree and not worth the time and money investment. What are some pros and cons. Thanks.

Had the option of an mba abroad and ISB.. chose ISB because I didn’t want to settle abroad and thus loan and repayment would be an issue. I will not agree that MBA is useless - it has worked well for me

Aren't ISB and abroad two very different options?

MBA is bad career choice if you are already in Tech. I had the option of doing mba from ISB and other "top" 1 year programs abroad, and was cold mailing numerous current / past students on LinkedIn. After hearing their perspectives, I decided it was not worth it given the opportunity cost and ROI. There was also one ISB girl in youtube who did a thorough analysis and came to the same conclusion ( look it up on YT) .
However, MBA might be worth it if you're are already loaded (generational wealth) or not from tech and looking to pivot.

Hmm ..the cost of mba from.isb is around 35-40lakhs + misc expenses. It would take 3-5 yrs to repay loan if you get a decent job post MBA god forbid if you get laid off.
Also What you learn in 1 yr in college is questionable tbh most theoretical knowledge with 0 practical impact.
But big companies still hire from MBA colleges than off the lateral market don't know why. It's most signalling effect.
So I think MBA isn't worth it unless.nothing is going right for you currently then it can provide a fresh start .

Totally worth the investment, if you don’t start compounding AFTER ISB.

What options open up after MBA which don't open without it? 35-40lakhs will need atleast 3-5 yrs to payback.

Thoughts on MIM( Insead, LBS) vs ISB MBA

How are the job prospects in general? How are the prospects in Dubai after doing the MIM .Is it worth it? . While the 2022 graduates had great job offers, the 2023 batch struggled. Any thoughts on this?
