What ideas do you wish existed in the world?

Hey folks! GV is such an amazing community of super smart people. I hope this will be of help in my professional career. In selling generally you highlight the most important things first. This is not an attempt to sell but to build a long term relationship. Hence more of a story telling approach. Please excuse if you find this uncomfortable. Let's start. A little about me: sharp guy, with intellect and amazing pedigree, 6yrs exp. Great in strategy, business operations, finance. Trying to learn tech since last 4 yrs. Personally, hard to work with in a team, not a people pleaser but committed and loyal. Girls please excuse (find it more comfortable working with guys, not trying to discriminate just my preference) Okay so what i have done. Actions speak larger than words. Over the last 4 yrs I have developed deep understanding of tech world. I believe tech can be a great enabler in transformation of every business process today. So much that i am in an IT department today. i have built understanding of the high level systems, architecture, models, algos etc. But I can code properly. I am very bad at it. So what i want to do now. There are bunch of ideas that i want to try and build. But just stuck because i don't have the full stack development skills. I have made peace with coding inability because i can be good at every skill. Sharing these ideas openly for folks to copy and build. Ideas are just 10% of the work done and probably none novel but i still want to build for various reasons. In most cases, I am not looking to make money or business to build but more to transform current processes. Eg. Real estate - why is there no portal where tenants/buyers can rate landlords/sellers and provide feedback about them. Bom and blr is such a hot market. Brokerage is an unorganised market which nobroker is trying to solve. Energy - 24hrs electricity cost is 5-6rs as per government tenders but industries buy it at 10-12/unit. Rest in comments.

Long-ish post but I’m just thinking out loud here: When you’re working in content, you’re always looking for expert insights for your blogs, whitepapers etc. but there are many roadblocks (finding the right person, constant follow ups, too busy to collaborate) and even on platforms like HARO, Qwoted etc. you get AI generated replies. What if there’s a tool that automatically creates a list of industry experts you can reach out to, along with extracting their contact info by using AI (analysing their LI, web presence etc.). The tool can also create a personalised email outreach sequence to avoid multiple follow ups too. You can eliminate guesswork and reach out to people who can actually provide meaningful contributions to your piece. And for SMEs, instead of scheduling long meetings they can just receive a form with focused questions relevant to the topic where they just respond via text or voice notes. It saves time and ensures fruitful collabs. Is this an idea worth exploring or should this just be left alone as a 2am thought? Honest opinions pls, be as brutal as y’all can be :)

Hi, I am looking for some interesting ideas that don’t fall under the traditional SaaS bracket. What are some unresolved problems by the SaaS world so that we can explore solving them?

I am from a non-tech background (finance guy to be specific). I am aiming big and want to start a fintech startup but I don't have any CS engineer friends to rely on. I invite you all to guide me how to find a tech co-founder or even a partial-CTO who can program my vision into an app and also maintain it until I can afford a full time one. I know that I can get it done with any software company but I have trust issues in sharing my idea with a stranger (knowing that how easily can an idea be stolen).

Social media accounts 10. Office location (register home as office) Far too many people focus on needing xyz before starting up. Most of them are excuses and self-imposed roadblocks from what I've seen in my conversations with people. I'm currently working on 2 ventures that still have many items missing from this list. Doesn't really stop me from making revenue and profit. Sure, there may be some things required from this list for specific businesses and at diff stages. But they are mostly an extra, good to have but not required. What is required in copious amounts is courage and will power, willingness to face rejections and ability to withstand multiple failures only to get back up and try again. Also, a healthy enough risk appetite. I hope to see more young and talented folks (especially MBA grads) start their own thing some day. Best time is in your twenties and early thirties, when you have little to lose. I work in the Data Privacy and protection domain. You won't believe me if I said we are spending $M on BigId and OneTrust apps (including infra cost for on prem). As an SME and power user of these apps I can tell you they are spreadsheets with CTA buttons that calls some APIs. Their AI, ML posturing are all marketing gimmicks. Doesn't work well. Since they costs $$$ many privacy pros are asking for cheaper alternatives which not many seems to be available. My ambition is to build a SaaS company that offers privacy app suite that is affordable and works much better. My action plan: 1. Complete FIP (fellowship in Privacy from Iapp) n become an influencer. Am already networking with privacy pros. 2. I am learning Bubble development now I know 1 is tough and 2 nd may be even tougher.. but this is my 2024 goals. I may fail but I need to give it a try To build a SaaS business in a niche domain, what would you recommend I do? How would you do it.
