What should be my expected CTC in my next switch?
Being a NLP Engineer with 4 years of work ex in the same domain, my current CTC is 17 LPA. So what should be my least minimum expected CTC in my next switch and that too i am planning to move to Bangalore ? Also , am i being underpaid ? Thanks
If you are a skilled NLP engineer, you are severely underpaid. Focus of the "skilled" part again, knowing some spacy or nltk modules don't make you skilled.
In my industry (pharma) which is typically less paying industry compared to IT in India, 5 year experience in NLP draws 30-40lpa. If you feel like you are not getting there, try upskill your "storytelling" slides. Come more close to business deliverables. Engineers who can talk business language are the most valued.

Currently my application is being processed for IQVIA..what should be my ask for compensation ..is it advised or preferable to quote the expected salary at the first ..when HR ask about it ?.. although i have communicated my expectation close to 30 lpa when she asked me
Yes, telling your CTC & expectations are common in pharma. Lately some big pharma barred HR from asking salary or expectations from candidates, but trust me, it did more harm than good. IQVIA pays well, just the work culture is shit in some team. If you get the offer, try to find out which client you will be working on. That matters a lot. If it is a big client, you get arena of opportunities to move there.

Hi bro/sis
My interview has been scheduled for IQVIA ....just got the confirmation from the HR that there will be 3 rounds in total (2 technical and 1 Managerial round) ...if you could help me then can you guide what should be expected in each of those 2 technical rounds and what should I focus more in my prep
Thanks 👍
