(prev startup) Offsite events getting cancelled. That's what happened in my prev startup. Just when you see the point where the executives run away from questions. :)

 2. Dr/Sr Dr level people leaving from multiple teams in a short span

Software Developer

Projects getting paused and focus on documentation is more. 
 Prioritisation and importance of each work is scrutinized in detail. 
  
 Teams with less work will be asked to be merged with others to get KT and hang of things

Product Manager

1. Travel Bans 
 2. Hiring freeze 
 3. Revised bonus plans

 a) directors quitting, no replacement was hired. 
 b) the interim director paid little attention, no budget was allocated, he missed our team meetings. 
 c) unnecessary all-hands meeting on a bi-weekly basis.  
 d) no direction within management.

Product Marketing Manager

Hiring freeze.  
 Comes in a couple of months before lay offs. However, please note that a layoff will definitely be preceded by a hiring freeze, but the other way round is not 100% sure. But it’s still a good sign about bad times to come.

Growth Manager

1) Marketing Spends Cut or made 0 
  
 2) Mineral water bottles in office being replaced with filtered water in glass bottles.

Hiring Freez, mangers talking nice thing about you even though you not doing anything or bad work. The managers who used to blast you will become very friendly because they know your name is in the list..
