Secret startup of Kunal Shah?

- Lenskart, the popular online eyewear retailer, has secured nearly $20 million in funding, led by co-founders Peyush and Neha Bansal, along with CJT Investments and TR Capital.
- The board approved the issuance of 695,875 Compulsorily Convertible Preference Shares (CCPS) at Rs 2,300 each, raising Rs 160 crore ($19.12 million).
- Peyush Bansal invested Rs 70.70 crore, Neha Bansal Rs 70.39 crore, while other co-founders Amit Choudhary and Sumeet Kapahi contributed Rs 9.60 crore and Rs 9.35 crore, respectively.
- This funding follows a $200 million secondary deal where Temasek and Fidelity Management & Research Company acquired shares, valuing Lenskart at over $5 billion.
- Lenskart plans to expand its network of 2,500 stores, with 60% of its revenue coming from India, and aims to leverage its strong financial performance and growth potential in international markets.

What's a secret from a previous workplace you worked at? 🤫

Not my workplace, but true story. 
  
 giant american retail company (assume it's W*) hires one giant indian IT services company (assume it's H*) for some maintenance work now this H* company has offload this work to small Indian IT services company (assume it's M*) which has a employee named R* who's one assigned to actually do the work but R* is smartass he's scouting internet for freelancer to fix the issues. He gets one junior guy P* to work for few thousand rupees and shares his credentials, vpn provider etc and our P* now messes up , in the whole scenario there's no safety lot's of mess total grey zone. 
  
 From knowing this incident, I'm like no one gives any fucks about anything, only if people weren't so bad.

The company had more than 6 layoffs in the past  10 months. Right from office boys to the company COO was affected by the layoff. The recent layoff happened 10 days back, where the company didn't pay their employees a single dime and instead gave them their value less esops to keep their mouth shut. The company is being run by 2 arrogant adamant co-founders along with their 10 other close ally so called the CORE team. The employees were on 30% salary cut since 10 months in the name of deffered and were promised that everyone would get it back with 8% interest on the cut. In every layoff employees were asked to leave within a day or two without even paying them for their notice period. Nobody was vocal about it as the founders had threatened some ex employees that they would make their life miserable and they will find it difficult to get jobs anywhere in future.

The dirty game of Dukaan's layoffs

If we actually think about it, this is even worse than Byju’s. No severance, long-standing pay cuts, and direct/indirect threats.  
 Dukaan deserves to die.
