When should you let your team know that you have resigned? Pros and cons. Notice period is 2-3 months.

Just got a decent offer, considering a switch. Not sure how to approach manager (also co-founder) with this news. Context: 1. Org has no clear set of rules/policies, but I heard notice period is usually 1 month. My joining date is 1.5 months from now. 2. Team is in a chaotic state. 1-2 folks were fired, no replacements have been hired. 1 person is on a sabbatical. Worried manager won't take news positively. 3. Want to leave on good terms, this is my first job, so not really aware of how to have these conversations.

Im Going to resign to this week, this is my first time, how should I do it so that they release me in 1 month(notice is 2 months) and be in good terms with them?

Hi everyone, I need advice on the next steps. I submitted my resignation 20 days ago, but my manager hasn't approved it yet. She insists that I serve the full 60 day notice period, of which 20 days are already completed. I've requested to shorten it to a 40 day notice period, but she hasn't accepted my request. I'm also willing to buy out the remaining notice period. If I proceed with the buyout, will it affect my relieving and experience letters or cause any issues during the background verification process. Should I talk to her manager regarding this , as now she's on sick leave for entire 1 week. Please advise on what to do. Thanks.

Hi fellows, Today my manager call me and said some general stuff and given me two options : 1) you will have a test (pip) in a time period of 1 month. In this one month you have to complete the tasks or goals which will be given by company and impress our HR if HR is impressed then you can continue your work in our company. If the HR is not impressed then we will terminate you. 2) If you don’t want to take test then you can resign and we can give you resignation letter within 3-4 weeks (while the notice period of the company is 3 months). Which option is better? Can anyone suggest me?

The company haven’t paid us 3-6months of salary saying that there’s a delay in raising VC funds. They also didn’t pay TDS and gave us Form 16 for ITR. I reached out to our client company where I worked briefly and they were happy to offer me a job there. I’m dangerously out of money in savings and it’s still uncertain in my current company about any funds. So I have given a early date to him because I really need their salary and joining bonus to survive actually. I thought I can immediately relieve from my current company as I don’t have finished projects and haven’t involve in new. But they are not responding to my calls and mail requesting for immediate resignation. What should I do now ?

I have been trying hard to switch but not getting any calls for an interview. I am suspecting now that maybe this 3 month notice period is slowing down the process. So my ask is should I resign and then try to find job, so that other company see potential in my profile because I can join early?
