Where do you buy furniture from?
A lot of shops around Marathahalli don't seem trustworthy and I have also heard bad experiences of people such as advance paid and furniture delivered too late or poor quality or not to specifications. What are your recommendations?
Just Ikea or Wakefit is fine if you’re not looking to invest for the next 10 years
They look decent and their quality holds itself at least for 2-3 years, whereas local furniture makers I’ve seldom found to be trustworthy
Not wakefit. It's the worst quality. Gets started to going bad in just 1 year m talking about sofa.
Ah damn
My experience is with their beds
Going strong for 2 years at my end (bought 2)
I do agree, sofa is more tricky
Ikea then?

In my town few second hand seller sells furniture and price is very decent - Once upon a time i spotted pure Saaag Wood Bed in 10-15 k but original price is more than Lakhs

Up to you to pick carefully. I usually look for specific terms like "move out" "abroad" "teak" etc. A bit more work than urban latter or the likes of it, but I have found out that I find decent stuff at great prices and also helps out someone else too.
I don't get why people recommend IKEA. There stuff looks pretty basic.
If you want something fancy then check some of the designer furniture shops and then get it made by a local carpenter/manufacturer
