Why are HRs so lazy?

I work in WITCH. There's literally 0 dependency on me at the moment. I emailed HR asking for temp wfh for a few days as I am suffering from some a bit long-term pain (not so much)

I already used leaves as I was hospitalised in the same episode. manager does not have much say as it is the HR taking the decision.

I sent my medical reports (8-10 tests) along with an email request. it's been 2 business days, but there's absolutely no reply whether I'll get it or not! not even a single fucking acknowledgement.

what should I do next?

manager is there in the office to notice who is there or not! leaves also get tracked (apart than portal) just like society uncle

If you really have to and no option left then send another mail saying that I am taking a leave due to medical reasons …… etc etc “ if you think I should not be taking leave please reply within 1/2 days” OR “ If I don’t hear from you .. I assume company has no problem and I am taking a leave “

Something on these lines
P.S - HR will most likely not say no as it may go legal

This is very correct

Usually Managers say that they are not responsible, in reality HRs will immediately share stuff like this with senior leadership and will want their approval before they even consider this.
At the end, WITCH’s HRs appraisal is usually dependent on the Leadership’s input as well.(dotted line hierarchy)

wipe off the rangoli in the reception area, the HR will immediately scream " This is Spartaaa"...
