Why do people use Mac? it's UX is so shitty
futures wise it's far far behind windows then why do people use it ?
Is this sarcasm ? Apple UX is far ahead of windows . Though I haven’t used windows in a long time , maybe they have improved . But all I see is that all windows brands are copying Apple design.

Personally I also feel Mac UX is slightly worse is some areas, but I limit my usage mainly to terminal and browser so I don't have to deal with most of it.
For developers mainly it's because it's closer to Linux which is obviously better than windows for coding (although with WSL maybe windows is good too but haven't tried)
Also Mac seems more durable than other windows in laptop(except ThinkPad)

Haha was just kidding man. I’ve been a Mac user for over 10 years now. It’s quite intuitive and beautiful. It has been my greatest tool to build the career I now have. So I am emo about it. Didn’t want to offend you

is it just for show-off?
Finally, someone said it.
Apple UX fucking sucks.
I have a whole list prepared why I hate Macbook.
Agree.
1. Excel comes without shortcuts, massive productivity loss.
2. In general, using keyboard shortcuts is cumbersome
3. How do I switch between 2 or more windows of the same application?
4. Why are there 4+ different shortcuts to take a damn screenshot?
5. No games
I can keep counting.
On the positive side,
1. Definitely smoother than windows
2. ..
Mac is not designed for doing word Excel PowerPoint thing. Now someone will debate mac isn't touch screen, so windows systems are better. Guys, mac is for computing power. Use it for that purpose. Else stick to windows for your day to day word Excel PowerPoint email stuff.

Ok im here to give u POV.
Apple has a better UI( visual design and interaction design) n windows UX(user centered design). Windows UI is absolutely bad, they tried to change and make it better and they definitely did in windows 11 but macOS big Sur came with it'd evolution so comparing both the UI is still better than windows. The big issue with the UI in windows is the disintegration of UI elements its like Rachel's English trifle from friends. It has layers of consistent elements of ui. The elements being a disastrous mix of old versions ui elements and current versions where there are seprate menus for the same function. Making it kinda confusing but still usable due to certain functions like universal search.
On the other hand MacOS has a much better UI having symmetry(a essential element for aesthetics) for its icons being squared and having a combination of flat and skeuomorphic Mashup having a new design style appealing and appropriate for a laptop/desktop OS( improvement on flat design imo). The system design is consistent has a better alp accessibility system(app drawer) with icons hbeing arranged the same way it's accessed on a phone.
When it comes to UX windows is much more intuitive to use. U can just guess the next way to navigate and its more human centered. Left clicking and dragging and the cursor to highlight text. Just closing the window closes the app.
MacOS is much more unnecessarily structured in its usage. U close safari yet u need to right hold the icon or click on the universal top menu to close it. I clicked cross from the windows ? Its should close end of story, why r these extra steps necessary at all ? Plus it doesn't even have a scaling option for resolution how can enjoy full res suited for this screen size ? Also transfer speeds r not shown ? What's up with that ? That's why it's not user friendly but the UI design slaps Anyday.

If driver issues disappear into thin air, I’ll always use Linux 😌
There are almost no driver issues on Linux desktop if using up to date kernel, while Windows users scramble everyday for random driver packages and manually install them.

Bro, I’m having Lenovo Ideapad & Linux Kernel 6.4 or 6.5. My webcam, fingerprint reader, laptop suspend feature don’t work. I’ve tried many SO answers, Reddit, Ask Ubuntu suggestions. But I’ve always failed in the long term.

I find Mac OS better for work and when I'm chilling at home, windows is better suited to me.
Mac has this innate simplicity where it has just the right things to get the work done. Terminal is the best thing for this.
But for tasks which require a lot of hops, I would still prefer windows.

I got myself one 2 weeks ago. And I am starting to realise it was a bad decision. Somebody give me tips so that I don't regret buying a macbook lol.
Learn to do things with terminal, install iTerm2 and minimize UI interaction

I do the same with Windows + wsl and it's still better. Could you be more specific please.

It depends. From hardware perspectives, Mac is leaps and bounds ahead. From software perspective - If you are the person who uses Microsoft Office apps a lot, you’ll be disappointed. Mac version of the apps lacks good number of features and customisations that Microsoft office offers on a windows machine (which, tbh, makes sense). Also, UX on these apps sucks on Mac. Probably MS guys doesn’t give a shit about their apps on Mac,
Now, if you are a developer, then obviously Mac is better.
