Why is every single "Founder" here an a*shole?

Literally, every single Founder I've encountered here seems to be an old, regressive, hard-headed boomer who hates the younger generation for their freedom.

Go through some DINK or WFH or Salary Rant posts and you'll be able to spot them. They are rigid in their mindset and call anyone who disagrees a degenerate, entitled, and (my personal favourite) 'influenced by the western media' lol.

Let's just ignore these morons and keep on bettering our life

Don’t know what you are talking about. Haven’t seen any “Founder” here being like that. But yes, some users tend to be like that.

The first comment seems to be in earnest tbh. However I do understand what you are saying and I somewhat agree with it.

It’s the change of guard that creates tension.

Completely agree on this. Management and founders only think of themselves. They don't care a bit of devs. Mjhe to lgta hai budhe hokar dimaag sathiya jaata hai Inka. They forgot they were in same phase as we are now. Paisa aate hi udne lagte hai.

You don't become a successful founder by accepting status quo. You become one by challenging it.

Unless you start your own venture, you'll never understand why founders are a certain way.

If you can't start your own thing, might as well follow the ones who did and learn a thing or two 😂

I don't get it honestly... Yeah pay less salary at your venture, sure, but what reason could there possibly be to demean people who want to pursue something else??
If I want to look for a better opportunity with higher standards, work from home, or if I don't wanna have kids, why does it matter to you as a founder? Is it some founder society rule or something to undermine freedom?

@Rorschach There's literally a founder in this post who's pissed off that I'm earning a lot. What do you call this?

Says "just ignore these morons" but makes a post giving them attention. Such an oxymoron.

The OP is living in a delusion of earning 1Cr+ with 4 YoE, just ignore him. This is my observation from the other post.

Bro you're still pissed? Go take care of your company maybe one day you'll earn more 🥰

In India, slavery as a concept exists in every economic class present. Everyone seems to be on board with the same thing: pay less, ask them to work more, don’t recognise their contributions, and avoid rewarding them for hard work.

bhai they are founders for a reason, they have to have a different mindset and approach from others.

I genuinely appreciate them for those reasons, otherwise they will become slaves just like us.

Because you entered into dick measuring contest with them on the same thread 😂 Be humble and respectful to others. Everyone can have their own thought process. Right or wrong, let them be at peace with it.

Are you talking about the founder who spends all his time writing vebrose replies on the dink post lol ? Wonder if this is what he does while running his company.

You are the problem. YOU.

You want to snap off anytime a realist approach is presented by anyone. As far as a founder is concerned, it isn’t wrong to set up rules of the organisation according to what they think is the best for the organisation. Any work setting like WFH or WFO is decided by keeping the best interest of the company in mind. I know founders who are proudly WFH and save a ton of office admin expenses that adds up in their balance sheet, so why does everyone snap out if there is a founder who is rigidly applying WFO in his/her company?

Markets dictate a lot of actions and you better treat it with respect rather than ranting out on founders or anyone who presents a realist approach. Find an easier job otherwise.

Are all founders a$$hole-ly?

Many of them are egoistic, surrounded by yes men/women, want to be reminded of how great they are, being pursued at all times

Have you met ones who aren't like this? Or atleast less?

I've worked at 2 early stage startups now. The founders are absolutely bonkers. Kids born into business families who think it's beneath them to work for someone and accumulate skills. They have an idea, that's all. Based on that idea the...

Any DINK couples in their 40s? How do you really feel?

Dual Income and No Kids sounds very attractive but advice from people in their late 20s and 30s is probably too biased to be considered sound advice.

Wanted to understand how couples who took that decision in their 30s feel today.
