Why stock investing is more famous rather than investing through MF?

27YO. I have been investigating for the past 1 year ...every month 5k in stocks, 2k for hdfc, 3k for Infosys..Current portfolio of 87k..6k in profit....will expand when salary increases after switching..share your portfolio .

I have been thinking about creating a new sources of income along with my 9-5. Could you please what source of passive income you have?

Hi folks, Personally, I thought I should invest in the index fund. Because, I don't want to take the risk with this amount. But I would still like to know 2 things - 1. Is the index fund fine? 2. Is it the right time to invest in lumpsum Or should I do an SIP of 20k? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

I don’t have much knowledge about investing, for now i have following investments - 10 Lac in FD - 5 Lac in stock where I have bought stocks of well known large cap company without any analysis assuming that it will grow in long term Now I want to get serious about investment and want to do monthly SIP so seeking for suggestion on what I should do SIP ? For now I am thinking to do monthly SIP in Nifty 50 For now I have appetite to invest 25K per month.

Hi folks, People who are investors here (not traders), where do you look for investment advice for stock picking? Like company analysis and recommendations for mid-long term for Indian stock market. I know Capital India which does deep Analysis of companies for their paid community and releases recos. In US, there is one called ‘the motley fool’. Any other recommendations?

I’m starting my first job this month, CTC-14L I’m not sure but assuming I’ll get 80-90K in hand Considering the job is in mumbai, the rent and other expenses would be high considering it to be 40-50K (pls tell how much it should be at max) Also how much taxes will I be paying and how to save it max I really need your help, how do I start investing? Can I put all in Small cap MF, what would you advice? What should be the split between Stocks and MF, and in MF how much in which categories? Both indexes began diverging sometime close to when Fed started to aggressively hike rates. It appears that the post-COVID rally was more favourable to the S&P but NIFTY is currently outperforming on absolute returns. My idea is fundamentally simple. Financial prudence during the raging recovery paid off for us, the economy appears resilient and poised to do well in the near to mid-term. It also reflects that markets are pricing recessionary risk very differently to both markets. Any ideas by others?
