Working as a ghost developer

Joined a new org 9-10 days ago where I had been interviewed for a developer role in a legacy tech stack. Yesterday in a connect the TL told me I won't be working on the development side of things but rather in the environment/platform side of things, mostly doing configurations with minimal or no coding. The role seems very specific to this org and considering this is on a legacy stack I don't think there's much scope even in learning for me at all. I had two stages of interviews with this org and all of them were for a developer role, something like this did not even come up during interviews or the pre-connects I had with them pre joining. So confused and frustrated, because I had accepted this offer since it's a PBC and moved to North India even when I had a 22% higher offer in a tier 2 based service company in my home town. I have two options now: 1. My team has a great WLB. Stick to the non dev role & use the next 6 months to practice DSA & upskill myself from my current legacy stack to something more commonly used like Java/Node and crack some other PBC. 2. Immediately start looking outside and interviewing again for a developer role in my current legacy stack, since I am on probation and can leave early and maybe even get a small hike over current CTC. YOE - 2 Can anyone please give some inputs or suggestions on what to do? Been interviewing since March and I finally managed to clear one and now this shit is happening.

I cracked an internship 7months ago and currently working as part-time employee as frontend developer in that company. I want to get into fullstack or backend but can't leave a company because they are paying well and their backend stack way different + they are in need of frontend developer. I'm at the early stage of my career & I believe I should to explore, but I think no company will pay me well as this does, so I prioritize money or explore backend? would like know your views on this. thanks

I have 1 year of experience, i have been trained on java full stack and currently working in dev role but it is not a good project l, very less learning and same work again and again.can anyone suggest what I should learn to get a better offer and switch to better companies. I have 3.5 yrs of exp as backend dev have 1.5 yrs exp in spring boot. in my current org not getting challenging dev related task getting only bug fixes, what should be my action plan to switch to top prod based companies as backend dev seeing to much demand for nodejs backend dev.

I’m an Entry Level engineer having 1.7 years of experience in a WITCH company, mostly working on Spring, AWS, Core Java backend stack. I’m looking to switch to a better company for my growth as I don’t find any opportunities here and the learning has been very slow. I’m currently learning frontend (Angular) and K8s. Have tried giving my resumé to multiple companies everywhere but no luck. Is it very hard for someone having backend experience of 1.7 years to switch?

I'm working in service based company in worst tech (acc to me ). There are not enough projects still they hire so many freshers . Current now I'm 1 year 3 months exp I'm doing self study of data engineer and done some decent project . Should I plan for internal switch or look for outside opportunities. Will I get atleast mid senior role outside?(im planning after 2 years exp) I don't wanna start again in entry level. What checklist should I follow to successful switch. I didn't get any hike for my first year( that's y I'm planning all this) I respect every advice and criticism in my plan Thanks in advance.
