I’ve only ever seen grifters use Topmate. Saw someone with 2 years of experience working in some do-nothing company charging for career advice on Topmate. You know the kind of people who don’t actually know anything in their field but like to show that they do via impressive sounding but generic AF LinkedIn posts? Those are the people on Topmate. Fuckin asswipe influencer class.

Strange how such a useful thing is mostly used by grifters.
I guess the valuable people you really want to teach mostly don't have time for meeting random ass people just for money. Their time is more valuable than being monetized on topmate.

Use TopMate only for giving interviews. See if their company is hiring. Set a meeting via TopMate.
Most of the generic gyaan is not helpful at all if you have a specific question.

I've been curious about this and would honestly wouldn't mind trying it but reading through replies here increases my skepticism more. The other day some random ig girl who posts videos of her dancing and pandering to trads with some shitty content is a software engineer in a no name organization that has a youtube channel and also does topmate.
OTOH there's guys like arnav gupta on twitter, and the cto of dukaan on there too. Wonder if they'll be any different.
