Your Job Applying Process?

Hi grapes, What's the best way to apply for jobs. LinkedIn, company portal or websites such as Naukri, indeed, TopHire etc. Folks who got multiple interview calls, can you share how you utilised all these to get there! Will cold mailing managers or HRs in linkedIn work? It feels clueless at times as I am not getting interview calls at all. Will mass apply AI tools found fruitful for anyone. All insights are appreciated. TIA

What has worked the most for you in getting your job application shortlisted? Please share your ways cause I am literally STRUGGLING Currently I am trying below things 1. Regularly updating naukri (activity level is good but very few HRs directly contact. Few send invites but ghost later on) 2. Few days ago. I have posted about this assignment to do in 2hour. Infact i did this assignment and implemented all concepts. Please note : i only left validation on the client side just a single function to check email regex. They rejected me. If there is any openings for 1+ yoe in react js. Please let me know, i am looking to join immediately. I am literally shocked, cant they think that if i can implement useref, audioref, redux concepts. Can i implement the validations ? Does applying for jobs in different company websites, LinkedIn or naukri really work? Has anyone received call that way? Have been trying to switch since two months and applied for a lot of them, got only one call that too from naukri after recruiter visited my profile on their own.

I have 3 years of experience in frontend. I usually look for jobs by creating profile on Naukri and expecting calls from recruiters. Also, I apply directly on company portals. My question to the grapevine community is how should I find good companies? What I usually do is search up great places to work list or top tech companies on G2. I also apply based on LinkedIn jobs / posts about openings and from Instahyre and Wellfound. Sometimes I do ask for referrals. Is there any other ways to look up on good tech companies? What do other grapeviners do?

I’m dumbfounded when the best piece of advice I hear is that its a numbers game and probability is supreme. There’s got to be a strategy that one applies to shortlist from the ocean of offers out there. - applying in the same domain as your current company? - platform or regions where recruiters are more active? - directly talking to freelance HMs and doing a deal? If no hack, just share what worked for you? And how are you optimising the job searching?

Shitty and frustrated feeling - I have been applying for the better part of the year on LinkedIn (Premium) btw, for over 500+ roles on LinkedIn across various companies for a role in Business Intelligence, is it shitty for everyone out there or just me? Got couple of interviews then ghosted, what the f**k is happening? Is it just me? Please guide; our thoughts
