A Cautionary Tale: Unprofessional Experience with Tata Elxsi's Hiring Process
I want to share a frustrating experience I recently had with Tata Elxsi, which I believe highlights some serious issues in their hiring process.
After successfully clearing all interview rounds and even starting the onboarding process, I was given a confirmed joining date. I went ahead and booked my flight to relocate based on this confirmation. However, just before my joining date, I was suddenly informed that the position was on hold due to "higher-level decisions."
This last-minute change caused me significant financial loss and disrupted my career plans, as I had turned down other offers and paused my job search, trusting their commitment. It’s incredibly disappointing to see such unprofessional behavior from a company of Tata Elxsi’s stature.
I’m sharing this to caution others about potential challenges when dealing with this organization. Always have a backup plan and be wary of committing too early based on verbal or even written confirmations.

Many students who got placed through the recruitment drive were given joining dates, but later they put the hiring on hold. This hiring freeze is a serious issue.
