Engineer trying to get back into Engineering roles.

Hey everyone, So I have done my Bachelors in Engineering and I am thinking of switching to the role of Business Analyst. I was wondering if anyone could help me out wether it’d be a good idea or not also if I make the switch which skills or tools should I work on to make my profile look good or stand out. Other than that I am thinking of doing MBA so I am starting to prep for GMAT too so if you guys could give input on that would appreciate that. Thank you. The reason being for me switching is that my field is not giving me any job openings or opportunities which I can look or commit for a longer period of time.

I am Stucked in a very weird situation, I am final year mechanical engineering student who was earlier preparing for product management/management consulting entry level roles but due to recession and layoffs and coming from a tier 3 college, I have to change my mind as first is non tech background and second tier 3 college tag and I wasnt getting much response from recruiters too , it was looking difficult for me to get an opportunity so I started preparing for gate but now after spending 6-7 months , I am realising, it never aligned with my goals , now what should I do I want to pivot to business analyst/entry product roles any how , I am graduating in June 2024 , neither I have much time left nor good companies are coming for placements , please help me out community

How can some tech person switch to non tech basically buisness analyst role, i have 2 years of tech experience any suggestions would be appreciated.

After completing engineering I got a full time job opportunity in a logistic company as a business analyst. At the start everything was good but slowly I was pushed in the non technical department. Right now my majority of work consists of people's management. There is no technical aspect left in my job role and neither am I learning anything. After spending 02 years in the company I learned nothing. After realising my mistake I started learning SQL and then I've planned to learn Tableau as I have an inclination towards Data Analytics but due to my toxic job I can't focus on things. Also I can't leave the current job as I am having the responsibilities of my family. Seeing my friends succeeding in their job really makes me anxious. Also I can't apply for jobs in service based companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture etc. as I'm having 4 years educational gap after class 10 due to financial issues. My father lost his job so I was helping my father who was working in a local groceries shop during that time.

Hi Folks!! I was going through a lot of posts here where people are putting out their thoughts on different topics. I am working with one of the startups in Bangalore and now looking to switch . I am considering a Business Analyst role as a good fit for me. If there is something else I should apply for please let me know. Also some tips on how I can describe my work related to that role on my resume.

Is there any one who has done a mid career transition to data/tech? I have been part of edtechs most of my career, have learnt backend, cloud and data analysis on the job. I am now quite done with edtech in general and want to do something different. I am facing issues in getting my resume shortlisted for data roles. Any one has any suggestions?
