Why Service/Consulting Companies is too pathetic

Hi Folks, Can you please let me know which startsups or organisation we should not join Reason may be: No Mission and Vision Pathetic HR Policies Burning investors money with 0 Revenue product Random Hiring and Layoffs Other reason you can mention Dirty Politics Dirty Appraisals and Promotions If i missed anything mention in comments So that our geeks will not join pathetic place and save atleast current job

Sharing my experience within risk consulting team at Deloitte Positive: - Good brand when I applied for B Schools - Generally decent peers of the same age, good friends - They helped with recalibrating my pay because it was lower than that of others at my age Negatives: - They Pay: of course, still ended up much behind other people from college, in the name of brand. - Extremely tough to grow within company post 2 years - Some partners are extremely abusive in all ways, poor culture depending on which case you get - The travel: especially to very remote places can be pretty taxing hope it helps to anyone who applies

How is the company, how is it work there , culture etc. any leads on above?

My manager has told me that I will not get an appraisal at all. This is because I did not have enough billable hours. What do I do? I was on bench for almost 6 months and I thought chilling is nice but this could potentially ruin my career as I can't find a job anywhere else. Should I try switching to Infosys, Capgemini, Accenture etc? Can anyone tell me what these companies are like?

Saw this in my company group here. Sometimes I just want to leave this place and start my own company for real. What are your thoughts on this? Does this happen at your company as well?

It has almost been 18 months since I have joined TCS. I was on the bench for a total of 5 months in the beginning, and finally got a project. I went to the office and my manager told me that it would take few days for document verification and security clearance. I was coming to the office daily but had nothing to do. I was getting anxious since I was just watching Youtube videos for almost a month. I wanted WFH but when I asked they said I had to come to office even if I had no work. Finally, I got a KT from someone working on the project. I came to realise that I was doing work that even a 9th class student can do. The problem? 5 people were doing this work. The problem? I was working 30 minutes a day. I had to come early to the office, login using my seniors login creds and do timepass work. I have to send an email to our point of contact at the client side that the work is done at the end of the day. I have learnt nothing here. I feel that these companies are just too inefficient. I am planning to leave ASAP now. I have learnt nothing and I am scared that I will not find another job because I have the Years of Experience but no skills. This is how IT companies destroy your career. Now I am doing DSA to get into another company.

What made it worst? The pay, the culture, or your manager?
