Accenture hikes 2023 vs. 2024 expectations?

Hey guys, I'm having my managerial round discussions with Accenture next week so trying to inquire more about the company's performance. Vertical - Technology

  1. Since last year there were almost no hikes given, what is the expectation for this year?
  2. If I join by October, will I be considered for hikes this cycle? My guess is no. Let me know.
  3. My current firm is set to release next hike by May 2025 but if I join Accenture I will have to wait for a hike in Dec 2025. That means 1.5 years without a new compensation. What's the percentage I should be asking rn?

Any suggestions, please?

  1. We are expecting good numbers since there has been no hike for 2 years and the attrition rate has also spiked. 2. You get a pro-rata basis; I joined in December, got a 7 percent hike and a 10 percent VP. Provided you are on client billing from day one, here the fiscal year is September to August, you will get something in 2025. 3. Based on your technology and the immediate hike you are expecting in May 2025, ask for a good hike. No one knows when things will change.

@Blackcoffee Did you leave Deloitte for Accenture. I made the same mistake.

When I joined Accenture last year, I was having the same doubt. As there was a low hike in 2023, so my expectations were not high, but Accenture seems cautiously hopeful for about 2024.

If you join in October, you likely won’t be a part of the next hike as they usually require more time. Since your current company plans a hike in May 2025, I would suggest negotiating a strong base now to bridge the gap. If market conditions remain stable, technology sectors usually expect an increase of between 6–10%.

Accenture hike in 2024 is not very promising for junior employees. A friend told me that the hikes are given to senior management, based on individual performances. But, the hikes are comparatively lower than in previous years. Truth be told, in 2023 Accenture employees in India and Sri Lanka didn’t get pay increases at all. Thus, the little salary hike is still good news for senior employees in 2024.

Accenture had no hikes in fiscal year 2023. The condition is the same for Accenture hike 2024. There’s absolutely no increase in the base pay for employees. It is mostly due to the recession period that many companies are not giving any hikes. Not to mention, many companies are even laying off employees. It has come to the knowledge that in FY 2025, employees might be put on the December promotion cycle. If you’re willing to switch to Accenture, chances are you will be put on the December hike cycle. Since you didn’t get a raise for almost 1.5 years, you can ask for a standard 5% to 10% increase in your base pay.

Accenture salary hikes for employees in India and Sri Lanka didn’t take place. The company rather mentioned that there will not be any hike for the fiscal year 2023. Though due to some legal implications and exceptional cases, hikes were given to employees. Accenture hike percentage 2024 has also not been revealed as there weren’t any promotions at the senior level till June 2024. However, there were a few plans laid out for both fiscal years 2023 and 2024. These plans were:

  • Employees would receive performance bonuses individually. However, those bonuses were significantly lower than in previous years.

  • The company also reduced its revenue forecast for FY 2024 because of the current economic conditions.
