Accenture's toxic bootlicking culture

I’ve heard so many horror stories about Accenture’s work culture, and honestly, they’re not exaggerated. The pressure is insane, and the favoritism is blatant. I worked my ass off but saw others get promoted just because they were buddies with management. Is this just how it is at big firms?

The only exception here would be young founder-led startups. Otherwise, in most companies it is about power and having people who support you.

I have worked at a young founders-led startup. Bootlicking licking culture is also there. On top of it they were marwari. 2 saal baad sirf 900 rupaye badhey. I told them this hike was too low and left that start-up after a few months.

Recently, I turned down the offer from Accenture. I feel senior management in Infosys looks after the talented people without any bootlicking expectations.

This is true. As long as you work hard, your manager at infosys protects you.

These bootlicking cultures are there in every company.i suffered in many companies and in my previous project. Even one step ahead in my first project,Most of the teammates are brahmin. Once I joined Accenture, the Senior manager talked to me casually and he touched back to check if I wear brahmin thread. Same project,a brahmin girl who is very senior tried to ruin the carrier to put me in PIP.

It's not about just Accenture but any MNC. You need to befriend the higher order management in some way or the other. You can work your butt off but get nothing but someone else who goes to tea break with the manager everyday gets all the credit. It's called politics. You need to learn to survive by socializing. As a socially anxious introvert, this is difficult for me but I somehow try my best to break free from my comfort zone and socialize.

Even the same in my project those who are buddy friends are friendly and i am expecting to lose hope day by day as they don't even care about the new joinee in the project and they don't talk also otherwise the manager will ping each other and have fun .. expecting nothing for promotion or hike as there are favouritism and scrum master has all the rights to release people from project even maternity people suddenly.lots of politics here i don't feel like working.
