Reporting from Visakhapatnam, sire!

@CutePika posted this pic on one of my picture threads, and I found it live! Vizag was on my cards for long, and everything just came together to make it happen now. Didn't do much touristy things, but had loads of great food (obviously non vegetarian) I even came across so many fun menus that can be made into a thread in itself (coming up next) But but, if you are planning Vizag anytime soon, few things you may want to consider from a tourist POV 1. It is humid and hot, and didn't rain much while I was here. So if you are coming from a place that is cool or has rains, this may feel less vacationy 2. If you are going for the views and relaxation, choose these hotels - Gateway, Novotel or The Park. Waking up to see sea waving up is 🤌 (I think Radisson Blu also has beach view, but not sure - plus these are at discounted prices now since off season) 3. Good food reco - Waltair fish from Vista, The Park (best fish in my life) and Keema Dosa from Cascades, Dolphin hotel I'll add more as I remember, till then enjoy the view 🥹

Central & North-South Goa Travel thread 🧵

Wassup Viners.... 🍷 🥂 🍷 Just wanted to ask fellow friends about how to explore Centre & North Part of Goa in 10Days. So, last year I travelled South Goa for 1st time ( 1st time to Goa also ) I was astonished, the positioning of Goa in my sub conscious mind was done badly by media, friends and bollywood, i thought it's just a place for drugs, booze n all badass stuff which might help u get placed in jail. But all of my surprise Goa is hidden gem 💎 Especially Western ghats, flora n fauna, trees, beaches, sand, surf, Goan thalis n cuisines, culture, hospitable people, football, rivers, sanctuaries, temples, churches, tea shops where u can talk to fellow travellers mostly from israel n EU. One of the best trip of 2023. Our body is formed by a combination of the five great elements—earth, water, fire, air and space. The five elements mix up in a scientific manner described as panchikaranam or quintuplification. Earth - bones, muscle Water - blood, lymph Fire - metabolism Air - lungs, oxygen Space - body cavities (source - gpt 4) We feel happy if we are surrounded by atleast 3 variables from Above list. So, beaches and mountains fulfill our soul most of time. Goa has been positioned as an alcoholic and party spot in India which I highly disagree with. If you want to explore peaceful serene beaches then south Goa is the place to be, be it water activities, lap of western ghats, cliffs, sunsets, waterfall, dams, like minded mature people, beautiful and scenic roads. This trip helped me explore my unexplored side of personality. If I want to live somewhere apart from home and workplace then this place is on top albeit right now. Awesome food and peaceful environment. Do try cafe kashish, hitide cafe and girija Ghar jevon is visiting canacuna. Now, please help me with north Goa n Central Goa tips n tricks! RN my plan is 2N stay at Centre Goa, explore Vasco n panaji 2N near anjuna chapora, explore nearby cafes beaches Skipping Baga for obvious reasons 2N near Morjim 2N near Arambol Mandrem At end 2N at South Goa :) Comment section is open for Goan chads and Veteran's....

Done with Tier1 cities, moving to tier 2 town with family - A rant

Been in Bangalore for 6+ years and love everything the city has given me. This city ( more like people here) taught me what software engineering and product sense is, how to entrepreneurs function, whats a 100X coder like. Made many memories, weekend trips to nearby places were so nice. Dated, moved in and then married my girlfriend, adopted a dog. So Bangalore has given me a lot. But in hindsight it takes a way a lot also - 1. Everybody is in constant work mode, even in parties its just about who is doing what 2. Everybody is in loot mode here - i have seen locals pay less for veggies/fruits in front of me, then the veggies apparently have lead in them 3. Rents/builders/brokers/roads - we all know whats up with them Though it was nice initially, now i feel like even after earning so much ( ctc > 1cr) if i just spend it all here ( monthly expenses ~2lacs same is with all my married friends), what is the point even. Hence making a move to slow life now, where you get a house with garden for 25k and fresh veggies and you can actually develop some relationship with community. This urge to always outperform in career is not really needed, we all eventually work towards savings and hence if i earn less but spend even lesser, its more or less the same thing for me. But i dont want to live in a matchbox, travel 1 hour to meet a friend, eat a roti for 150bucks and be in constant anxiety about climbing the ladder. All i want is to focus on health, and sit in a garden in some sunshine with my wife and my dog and enjoy a cup of tea. So yes, I AM DONE. Moving to a tier 2 ( more like tier 2.5 town ) Happy to answer any questions if anybody has any.
