Advice on switch
Is there anyone who switched to a product based company with a high salary from a service based company?
Please comment and tell that after how much years of experience you switch and the secrets of that.
This will help a lot of people.
I did. I switched from a consulting startup working as devops engineer to PBC (Unicorn) after 1.8yrs of working there. No special secret. I showed what I worked on, I got shortlisted when applied on linkedin. In the interviews scheduled, I cleared them and got in. This was in late 2022s
@jake_peralta_B99 how you prepared man? Any insights on that? And how they approached you? Any tips for interview??
No preparation, was just sure of whatever was mentioned in resume. My cloud fundamentals were pretty decent.
They called me a month later than I applied, asked for 4 rounds of interviews then offer discussion.
Tips for interview - if you have extensively worked in your org, it should be fairly easy to clear tech rounds. If not, you would have to impress them with the projects to get in, and fundamentals to be clear to clear interviews
