In my first job, a friend of mine (fresher) cried when his manager left the company and bought a gift for her.
Same as the title. I don't know why but this whole incident came to my head today and it still gives me second hand embrassment. Looking forward for more such cringe Stories.

Damn I remember this too. Head of Sales was fired but she agreed with management to make it seem like she was leaving on her own.
Took a meeting room and spoke to her team one-by-one. A couple of the girls in her team who hated her, came out crying. I was like wtf? They were like "damn ya she got emotional, and we need her as a reference for future jobs". 🤷♂️
Man took networking to the next level. Maybe he just wants to show he cares
