All that Glitters is not Gold!!
When I joined Deloitte few years ago I was so happy getting the breakthrough. However my happiness didn't last long, as this place lacks transperency and the growth opportunities are minimal. The Technology projects lack vision and the goals are not SMART. Sadly the show is run by few incompetent /selfish PPMD's (Partners,Principals &Managing directors) and a large pool of Vintage employees who are there in the organization since ages, few older than rare trees. These people are so well settled in thier respective comfort zones that even the thought of change will make them uncomfortable. I really ponder upon this thought daily that does Deloitte really need so many people in USI office(HYD.) We are around 75K employees here approx.. REALLY!!!!
Well thats the reality of life. Each person needs to identify what their mission is in life. Maybe the ones who have been there since ages - are happy in their life. A lot of choice aren’t ours to make - family, dependents, loans, etc. get the better of middle class people, and job is a just a means to an end.
We need to start having an identity outside of work and not base our self-worth on it. You can be proud of what you do, however, if you base on your happiness on it then it will be unachievable.

Big 4 companies core model is business consulting and services around it. IT consulting is a new recipe still for them. Can’t help, have to bear. Ask for project change or location change.
I honestly think this is happening across all organizations who are not having a product . Much of business dont know what to do and just BSing things and this impacts a lot on requirements side of projects. I think a lot of apprehension on future in US and world markets ( probably due to high inflation, covid bumps , AI ) is causing this .
