Agritech scene
What’s the chatter regarding Indian startup’s in agritech? Dehaat, Waycool, Ninjakart etc.. hear they’re hunkering down but are likely to survive the next couple of years at least…
Worked at Agrostar. They actually focus on giving quality products and advisory to farmers though they don't give great salary to entry level roles. People are working on great features inside the company, lot of learning experience for employees. There is no unicorn in this sector and there has to be a disruption sooner or later and employees with huge stock options are betting on that. Waiting for miracles to happen wasn't for me so I left but I do believe they are transforming the rural sector as they are being connected to digital economy. The importance of yhis can't be understated. Lastly, because of funding they have deviated from doing good
Thanks, can you share more information, I'm exploring something to build in this space.
Do you think there is still need for credit given there are already banks and agri fintech startups out there
I don't understand them.. I hope they aren't earning off the poor farmers..what innovation are they doing?
Do you think glorified Lala business or they say they are getting better pricing and quality to the farmers?
Maybe only getting them better pricing in the short term only
Again this year they silently layed off 300+ employees. They want to become profitable... :D
Ye to market mein khabar hee nahi aayi
Have some info about siphon off. Hope some of them will work for the farmers as well.
Interesting
