Anybody working at jiomart in product?

Folks,

I am considering a role at jiomart. The role is pretty good (in product space).

I wanted to understand how the culture and work life balance is.

P.S: pls dont give the generic response of it being a reliance firm so blah blah

Ex employee here. Short answer, don't go.

They'll milk you to the core and forget the concept of "work life balance".

Plus, given the current market if you do join them? You'll be stuck with them for quite some time before things start to stabilize.

Can you share more details pls

Like when were you working there? The reason I ask is because they have recruited recently a bunch of folks from Amazon and the likes

Worked there from 2019-2021

I am a part of Jio platforms. In my unit, there is a boss labour hierarchy. Whatever boss says, you as a developer have to simply follow that. Timelines are unrealistic which results in bad quality of code. Code reviews are a joke. Only motto is to make things work. New developers have a tough time to understand poor quality code as there are serious violations of software engineering principles 😂 As app scales, it starts breaking.

Most of the bosses are old aged with poor technical knowledge, they just want fast delivery of product. It’s a typical lala company

Culture & WLB completely depends on the team and your manager. But this is for sure that JM needs people in tech and they need it quick. 3 month notice period if you want to switch. Also, I somewhat agree to fairscrew27
