Are we entering into new layoffs wave?
From October , layoffs have increased quite a bit. At least that's what I have been noticing. Personally, I have also been affected and looking for job opportunities since this month.
Do you think number of layoffs have increased or flattened?
My assumption is that we are almost reaching the peak. It will reach the peak around mid November and will continue the pace until mid December too.
No need to worry though, as companies hiring is also being increased slowly. TCS announced that they'll be hiring 40k freshers, so the competition will come down a bit.
So I'd say it is the perfect time to upskill yourself. If you are getting a new job, then stock components are gonna worth it now because current markets are down, and once they start recovering in around March or April, it'll be a good amount of money too.

We're almost at the peak of the slowdown. It should get better in another one year from here.
