Flow the psychology of happiness is a seminal book written on the subject of how undivided attention to a task is primarily responsible for long term happiness and satisfaction. That is exactly what Arjun was doing.

Truly wrong narrative of the story, the intent of the story is to show Arjun’s passion about something he is doing so well. Comparing to software employees there are a lot of people like Arjun who finds happiness in their work and doesn’t care what happens outside of it.. doesn’t mean the work culture is toxic

Consider you are given a task and you get to know that upon successful delivery of that task would enhance your skills and it puts you in limelight and you yourself are more interested and passionate about solving it, so you put in extra hours to deliver it. Where is toxicity here?
Toxicity is when you get micromanaged or making you work even though you are tired/unhealthy and N other things. Arjun was motivated by himself here . Nobody held him by neck to aim and shoot

Only while hitting the arrow he was seeing eye of the bird as target, not all the time. Which means while on work ne focused, else enjoy your life. 😌

Bullshit. When you're doing a set of squats, will you focus on technique and control, or about the latest bollywood gossip. Single minded focus is necessary, whether you're working, working out or indulging in hobbies. Of course, diffused thinking has its own merits, but again, not all the time.
