Need guidance for newbie in Software Field

Currently I am in a very famous networking company as 6Month SDE intern where most of work is related to C After conversion I would be allotted the same team and I fear if switching to other faang companies or equivalent would be possible with this tech stack The project assigned is good though but everything is only C I might be immature to ask this so please guide me

I am graduating from non-CS/IT branch at a prestigious college this month. In July, I will be joining as an SDE 1 at Appian. Since this is my first full-time job, I want to prepare myself. Experienced professionals, please advise on what to do and what to avoid for better personal and professional growth. Here are some facts about myself: Personally, I am somewhat introverted but can talk if necessary and am good at conversing with friends. I often find that others put more effort into initiating conversations, which is why I have only a few friends and no female friends. Most of the time, I am comfortable with this, but sometimes I feel a bit lost. I rarely play sports or engage in physical activities (I’m not good at any sports). Any suggestions for improvement in this area would be appreciated. Professionally, I was a mediocre student in college and spent a lot of time on LeetCode (I’ve solved around 700 questions). Should I continue with LeetCode or competitive programming after joining? Or should I focus on projects and learning new tech stacks or AI/ML (I’ve studied a few courses and worked on ML projects)? Alternatively, should I just focus on company work and not pursue anything on my own? Lastly, I have a keen interest in finance and the stock market. I’ve been learning and investing for the past four years. Should I devote more time to learning technical analysis and swing trading, or should I keep it minimal? How should I prioritize my personal, professional, and financial goals?

I'm 2023 btech grad, I have selected in virtusa, LTIMindtree and dxc but none of them are giving response to full time. They are just delaying the process. I'm worried about my future, and confused what to do, so that I land a job. I have knowledge of core java, sql, basic dsa(leetcode 150+) and very basic project(that don't come in mini project category). What to do? ... should I prepare dsa or do backend in java? ... or just wait for the on boarding

I am a software engineer with 11 months of experience. I have no interest in testing field and wanted to work in development roles from the start but my org forced me to work as an integration tester. Now I am planning to upskill and jump. I have great interest in cloud field and believe that it is an emerging field, but I am told that AI/Gen AI is also very good field to go in. Although l don't have any particular interest in AI and always thought that it is not easy to get good paying AI related jobs for beginners like me, I am ready to pursue, if told otherwise. Please give me some advice/guidance as to which field I should choose as a fresher that has good learning and future scope and pays good. Any advice/guidance is appreciated 🙂.

I have a knowledge of core java, and basic dsa. What should I do to go to product based companies? Should I prepare dsa, or do j2ee or switch to react and nodejs or something else?

Hello everyone; I need your help. I am a Computer Science student about to reach my final year in the coming two months. I heard that we will be having placements in July and the competition is fierce since there are thousands and thousands of students looking for job/internship. Till date; I have done frontend development and I am good with HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. I know theoratical portion of JavaScript and jQuery but get stuck when told to implement logic in problem solving. [I also know React.js but very basic like routing, states and props, etc. since I was not able to give much time to it] Addtionally; I also did a 3month internship in this domain and know how to get the work done but technical interview may become a problem. [I got this opportunity through referral] I will be having my End Sem exams next week and it will go on for 10-12days. After that; I will be able to give full-time to learning and will have probably 1 or 1.5 month to upskill myself. I am planning to do DSA and Full-Stack Development so can anyone guide me on how can I become capable to compete and outperform my peers? It's just that I think I have wasted my 3 years of college and have fear that I won't be placed since I am lagging so much.

So I have 2+ years of experience in tech field as a full stack developer for 1 year and as a back end developer for another year. Now I am at a where I need to switch. But I am not very good at DSA, I find it non interesting and a bit difficult. Can you suggest me ways to grow myself so that I can feel confident enough to switch? Also can I switch without DSA ? I’m a final year computer science undergrad and planning for ms cs. I have an offer in a startup as data science intern but I’m new to it and a bit skeptical about it. The company is great but told me that my most of the work would be around data pre-processing, cleaning & visualisation and not developing machine learning models (will be given exposure). But my concern is that what if I want to pivot to software developer role after graduation, should I go with it or look for an SDE Intern position. Please help me here!
