Fellow Grapeviners, what are you looking forward to?

Hello good people of grapevine, I have recently started my full-time job as a software engineer, and wanted to start my journey into investing. After doing a bit of research, I feel SIPs in mutual funds is the way to go forward at this point. For now I want to start putting 20k into MF SIPs every month. I took a look at a few MFs which were very high risk but over a period of 3-5 years yielded great returns (50%) as well. While the low to moderate risk MFs yielded low returns (5%). Though the risk is high, but seeing stable returns over a large period of time, how safe is it to invest in very high risk MFs and not incur losses? Any other advice is also thoroughly appreciated Thanks fellow grapeviners. risk appetite: moderate to high investment horizon: 5-10 years

Salaries on Grapevine Thousands of you have since adopted these products, but most importantly, you gave us great feedback and we are working on making these more helpful Here’s what you can expect from Grapevine in the next few weeks: 1. Direct Messaging on Grapevine (yes yes, I know at this point everyone seems to be giving up on this xD) 2. V2 Update to Salaries - making it more useful with more data points 3. Launching verification and company private groups for 100 companies (we will keep doing this where we have enough people) 4. A better feed: We are hoping to show you less of posts you’ve already seen (A common complain with Grapevine) 5. A new approach to communities on Grapevine 6. A feature buff to Polls - making them even more insights rich 7. Better Link type posts - currently links on Grapevine are broken 8. Grapes V2: People will get grapes for creating ‘Chatty posts’ and ‘Deep Polls’ over and above the current definition of Grapes that is just focused on the number of likes you get 9. I have 3 years of experience in frontend. I usually look for jobs by creating profile on Naukri and expecting calls from recruiters. Also, I apply directly on company portals. My question to the grapevine community is how should I find good companies? What I usually do is search up great places to work list or top tech companies on G2. I also apply based on LinkedIn jobs / posts about openings and from Instahyre and Wellfound. Sometimes I do ask for referrals. Is there any other ways to look up on good tech companies? What do other grapeviners do?

Let me start by listing mine 1. Get into shape 💪 - I’ve set a target weight for myself, and a target muscle mass and body fat percentage 2. One book a month 📕 - This is something I’ve tried over and over but never seemed to achieve. 3. Delve deeper into devops 🔄 4. Complete a few side projects I’ve had in my backlog for months 5. Quit smoking 🚭 What are yours?

Specifically for people in tech startups/tech ecosystem, what makes you hopeful about the coming year? What are you looking forward to?

Hey GRAPEVINERS, I came on this amazing platform 2 months back and soon I got to know that even anonymously I feel awesome connection with you all-( The identity without revealing the identity), whether it's about asking for masters abroad or about product management, someone was always there in the comments with satisfactory response that cleared my queries . Within 40 minutes, we are waving bye to 2023 , it actually taught me a lots of things -somethings were great ,somethings were worse , but whatever it is , that's making me stronger day by day , I hope 2024 will bring the best out of me as I am trying to work on myself and I hope guys it will be great for you too New goals , New Challenges , New opportunities , New People , New life is waiting ahead!!
