Personal Brand

Have you been able to build a personal brand on LinkedIn? If yes, share: 1. What industry do you belong to? 2. What's the most important metric for you? 3. What are some key learnings/realisations?

I personally admire people who don't need to be on or use social media to run their businesses. But it's become difficult to avoid not sharing something ever so often to stay relevant. People have goldfish memory spans and seem to forget things easily these days. They need reminders that xyz brand/person still exists. Plus I'm a private person and don't really like talking about myself much. And meaningful share-worthy work milestones only happen once in a while. Any good examples of people who have grown personal brands without posting occasional selfies on LinkedIn? How about outside LinkedIn? The only one that comes to my mind is Michael Burry, but I'm not nearly as good a trader as him.

I seem to be at a loss as a marketer in the age of noise and hidden ads. Google meta and Amazon control most of the global online ad market and distribution channels. If you have enough money to throw on ads, great. Maybe you'll get somewhere and figure it out. But unless your product is exceptional and so is your luck, you will most likely get beaten by an average competitor with deeper pockets. Building distribution has become all important these days. Can it be done without spending a lot of money though? The only possible solution imo seems to be building a personal brand. But not everyone's interested in being a creator either. What options do they have? Marketing and sales walon, any thoughts?

Being someone who gets bored easily, I don't have that urge, or lets say am reluctant to start work everyday (analytics - not a fresher). Keeping switching aside, what's something I could do to find ownership? If not for turning this to something extremely interesting, least I wouldn't want to go through this every morning. I’m dumbfounded when the best piece of advice I hear is that its a numbers game and probability is supreme. There’s got to be a strategy that one applies to shortlist from the ocean of offers out there. - applying in the same domain as your current company? - platform or regions where recruiters are more active? - directly talking to freelance HMs and doing a deal? If no hack, just share what worked for you? And how are you optimising the job searching?

Has anyone enlisted a personal PR manager to enhance their brand across social media and professional spheres? What was your experience? context : I believe a “quality” social media presence significantly boosts visibility in professional circles, aiding in networking and job opportunities. but I am unable to strategise.
