🐋 alert: Someone made a major long position. Is this the smart money entering the markets?
Thesis: Someone has made a massive long position in the markets which must've triggered several sell orders after a gap up opening in the markets. I have purchased some calls for the next expiry now. Let's see how it pans out. What do the rest of you think? What is up with the markets because I am in deep green over the last couple of weeks.

Whatever happened yesterday was for option players. Just look on twitter how many people lost 15-20% of capital.
Gap up happened CE writers run for cover.
Move fades away , PE writers run for cover.
Market bounce back and CE writers run for cover.
Not once my Bank nifty Index fut trade hit any trailing SL.
On an index level I expect a lot of shakeouts and less momentum.
Positional Index fut trade is going to be very rewarding i feel.
Also to each of its own but lower TF trading should be avoided in this market. By base TF is hourly with combination of daily.

You have a lot of knowledge about FUT and OPT which is very rare in Grapevine. You should share more knowledge here.
Which industry do you work in btw? Just curious to know.
@steppenwolf FUT trading and the capital requirement is much heavier than OPT so I suspect very few people take these FUT trades in retail segment. But I like the way you are thinking.
- I usually like having a 15min time frame to skim through charts once and see what is going on. I usually take trades on daily time frame for Swing positions.
