Brother Laid Off, moved to Equity Trading
My sister has been recently laid off. She is now spending a lot of time on Equity Trading, not F&O. She believes she can outperform the market and should spend time here.
My learning says Passive investment works well in the long run.
How should I convince her to spend her time more constructively - probably finding a new job, working on her business idea.
I guess she is trying to keep herself occupied.

The day she gets some big loss, you speak to her that day. Just right now make sure she doesn't risk too much.

Better than retail therapy to cope.

Its a business. Just like a grocery store, or catering or hotel business, its a business of fiat currency. So, if she considers it and approaches it like a business, she will make her mark. If she is going to treat it like a casino, she will incur loss and get back into the normal Hussle/routine. There is no need to convince her of anything. Sometimes one needs to fall and get hurt to realize things.
