Browserstack Rejections despite Referral?

Hey there everyone! I wanted to know if anyone else also faced this issue of getting rejected despite a complete JD match + referral from a SSE at Browserstack? For a fresher's role especially. Is there a college bias? I'm from a Tier-3 tho I'm SDE at Cisco.
