Business folks, Assemble!
Category/Operationa/FC/Marketing/Brand etc side peeps. Where do you work and what's the status with layoffs? How are you preparing for the worst and what's next for you?

Credit Risk at Amex. No layoffs here. We do have a soft hiring freeze, but there are hiring a going on for other teams. Work culture is decent for an MNC.
From what I have seen, Risk Analyst roles are only for Tier 1 colleges? Any tips on how to make it there?
If it helps, I’m not from a Tier 1 college.
If you can’t make into a huge role from the get go, start low n slow. There’s tons of internal promotions after Year 1 with Amex.
Work in a profitable startup bye.
That's it?
Yes
Working at Amazon India Category team. Pretty bad situation with layoffs in other teams. Core Marketplace Category teams have been relatively untouched except 1-2 layoffs under the guise of PIP. But recently got news that an L6 was fired from a mainstream category team. Similarly a director was asked to leave from a non category team. Now they're making us work 14-15 hrs daily under the subtle threats of layoff probability.
Do your best mate. This will pass. Best wishes
GEP, supply chain.. going okay. Bad pay..
