It's not a universal cut-and-dried equation. Sometimes disruptive innovation wins over continuous improvement, and other times disruptive innovations fail badly against existing models. It can't be generalized, and has to be considered with the nuances on a case-to-case basis.
Why is there this tendency to want to generalize and universalize everything into black & white binaries? The world is a lot more gray and nuanced place, with a lot of variation in everything.
It's a mere curiosity I think. If you disagree it's fine as well. But I think questioning a question or disregarding a question doesn't really make sense.
Human language allows us to make an infinite number of questions that are syntactically correct, but semantically meaningless, i.e. "What's the phone number of this tree?".
So questioning of questions, and disregarding questions that are not very meaningful, are extremely important in life, and make a lot of sense. 😊
