Working in Salesforce as an Associate Renewals Manager. Looking to switch into technical roles.

Hey everyone, I am a 2023 B.tech graduate in CSc. I got placed in Salesforce as an associate technical support engineer. A few months into training, I took up a new opportunity to get into the renewals team which comes under the umbrella of Sales. I have been working in this role for about a year now( This October would mark 1 year ). I am receiving fair pay by the current market standards with a salary hike on the way. I enjoyed my work for quite some time but now it feels repetitive. I am looking for a challenging job along with a significant salary increase. I need some guidance. Currently looking forward to possible ways to switch to technical roles like SDE or junior developer either inside or outside the company at the same salary if not more. Shoot your suggestions!

Switching from sales to Salesforce dev is good move ?

I am 31, married, and I've been working in a startup for 6 years, earning around 70K in sales. I'm interested in moving to a technical field and have some knowledge of frontend and Postgres. Since our company is shifting to Salesforce, I'm considering taking the Salesforce admin -> Developer path. Do you think it's a good move considering my sales background, and will it benefit me in the long run? Or should I also consider a backup plan, like getting Azure Data Engineering certification? I'm feeling quite down and stressed, even with my engineering background.
