Fresher with 10 LPA (Base) offer. Should I negotiate?

I had resigned from my previous org couple of months back I have 1 year 4 months of full time experience for a frontwnd developer role.. My previous comp was 13 LPA fixed, I got an offer from another company, they are giving me 16 LPA fixed (remote). Is this a good hike? It's not even 23% increment. Usually I have seen people getting atleast 50% increment on their previous withdrawn salary while switching and sometimes even more. People get more than this during annual increment. And also this job is remote while most of the jobs are in Bengaluru and there comes additional living expense cost if I take a job in Bengaluru with a offer more than 16LPA. Please help me how should I go about this given the market situation. I was expecting around 18LPA in this company even if it is remote.

Guys, I have 8 years of IT experience out of which , 2.5 in azure. I got a call from Capegemni HR , saying there's an azure opening, asked for my current and expected CTC. I said the current is 7 LPA and expected is 20 LPA. It's a hybrid role with 3 days working from the office. She said it is not possible, Max they can give is 10-13. I am in Kerala,and have a baby under 1. I have to relocate if I get it. I don't think it is fair salary. Is it ok if we don't tell when they're asking for our current salary based on which they will give max 100% if we perform exceptionally in the interview. Or how can I deal this? Thanks in advance.

My previous organisation was 100% remote, I have got two offers, one of them providing around 40% hike. the other option is giving lesser base hike but I can take approvals for 100% remote. (need to convince manager, that I can work independently) What would you choose? Help me understand your POV? My Take - Many people hate the life in bangalore but harsh truth is we don’t have many opportunities in NCR. Eventually people move to Bangalore.

Hello, I have 5yoe at big4, currently working from my hometown. However recently I received an offer for a product company (pre-sales) which needs me to relocate to Bangalore. The hike is good 45% but considering the CoL I might just be saving 10-15k more per month than I do now. So, my question is, is it worth joining the product firm and relocate?

I might get an offer from the company which is ready to give me good amount of money, but it's in banglore , I do wfh right now 2+ exp, how much should I ask so that I can live life to the fullest there, here is what I have calculated: My expenses in HSR layout: around 50k My investments: around 50k My saving and other stuff to enjoy my life there and send money to my parents also: 60k Total: 1.6lakhs per month atleast For that I need to have 24lpa as a base.. plus I need some relocation bonus. Is my expected salary at banglore less or more? How should I start my salary negotiation?

Background: I have around 7 years of experience. Right now doing WFH from tier-2 city and staying with family (Married so wife + my parents). My current job is good but politics and bad manager came into picture. I applied to few jobs and got an offer. Current Situation: The offer I got is WFO (hybrid) from Bangalore so I need to move. Increment in terms of cash is 12.5% (they dont want to push more). RSU is good and they vest in 1 year directly. I estimate that house I require near my office (Kadybeesanahalli) will cost around 50-60k and rest budget of 50-60k. So I will save around 1-1.5L (50% will go to MF, stock etc) Question: Is this a good decision to move and settle there ? New org is a reputable one and has stable job as of now Note: I am not including my wifes salary as she still needs to search a job

I have been working in HSBC GSC HYD for more than a year and as this journey comes to an end now, I would like to share my experience with you all. The first thing that comes in our mind while joining any new company is about their workplace environment and their HR policies. There have been quite a few incidents that happened during the last one year which I neglected thinking "Isn't this what corporate life feels like?" I neglected everything to the point where it became unbearable for me and made me go through some serious mental health issues and panic attacks. The most recent incident that I would like to share with you all is when I was ethnically humiliated by one of my colleague. The incident happened on 22 April 2024 when I was subjected to ethnically insensitive remarks by my colleague AA. The exacts words which was used by him is 'EK CHAMAAT MAARENGE, BIHAR PAHUCH JAOGI' which exactly means - I will slap you so hard, you will go back to Bihar. I did follow the protocol and informed my manager AT about the whole incident but nothing came out of it, except for a team meeting where I was told that my colleague did not physically assault me, it was just a hatred comment which I can let go of. I reached out to the concerned HR team and filed a POSH Complaint for the same, after weeks of the incident, on 3 May, I received an email from the HR team to give feedback for the same without any updates on what action was taken. I did let go of everything thinking that anyways I will be leaving the office soon as I am currently in my notice period when another incident happened. I was on a smoke break when VKR, AMO from the UK CDD team approached me and made objectifying remarks on me. The comment he made was 'Tmhare jaisi ladki hum aaj tk ni dekhe hai, akele pura UK team ka naam kharab kr k rkhi hai.' which means - He has never seen a girl like me, I have ruined the name of their team. I did ask him the reason for saying such things to which he replied 'tmhare alawa kisi UK team ki ladki ko hm ni dkhe hai cigarette pite huye' which means - he has never seen any girl from the UK team smoking cigarettes. Later while going back inside the office, I saw him eating tobacco and spitting on the wall inside the office premises. My LWD is 13 June 2024 and I hope this post reaches to everyone who are currently working in HSBC and to the people who are planning on joining HSBC GSC HYD before I leave. Recently, I got my resume shortlisted for a 2 months internship at a Bangalore based startup. They're offering 13.5k per month stipend with no full time opportunity. Also, there's no remote opportunity as well. I'm currently based out at a different state. They're asking me to fill a form if I'm interested to go forward with the application. Should I take the chance to go forward with the application? Isn't 13.5k too less to survive in Bangalore?

Recently my friends moved to 4 BHK apartment near Domlur. The total rent is coming to 1 Lakh for unfurnished apartment, it has some really good amenities. All 3 of them have offices nearby, and I work remotely for a US startup. After, furnishing and one time setup, just rent is coming to 32k. I am unsure, whether moving there would be worth it or not for me. I really enjoy company of my friends, but the rent for me is expensive + 6 months deposit. I can definitely afford to pay that much rent, but not sure whether it’ll be good decision or not because of market conditions and tons of uncertainties. I cannot back out if I say yes. I am super confused, one side I want to stay with friends and on other side rent and deposit is worrying me. Would love to hear thoughts of you all. 🙏
