I don’t have any personal laptop right now and I am planning to buy a laptop . I have used i5 laptops for 2 years and noted that it is becoming slow after a year. I have used a macbook m3 pro provided in my office for 6 months and started loving its performance. After switching the company, I again got a windows i7 laptop . Even though the performance is better than the i5 laptops but it is nowhere near to mac . So I am planning to buy a mac but it is too costly. So I am thinking of buying a mac mini m4. I already have a monitor , wired headphones, keyboard and a mouse. Is it a good option to buy mac min instead of macbook ? Powercut will be there once or twice in a day not more than 10 minutes . I want to buy this for interview preparation and learning new tech stacks.Kindly suggest will it be a good buy ? If so suggest something for power back as well . Thank you :)
Storage & memory upgrades in macs are a ripoff , so are repairs
If you're fine with 16gb ram , base m4 mac mini is fine with external ssd over usb
Can get a ups for power backup or if you're planning to get power backup for home → sinewave inverter with ups mode works
Mini desktop vs laptop → you have to decide for yourself if you'd need portability or not
Many decent windows laptops you can get with zen 4 , oled displays and good battery life
There's lenovo mini pc as well - gives you 2 m.2 and upgradable ram with zen 4
