Scared of having a career gap

It’s been 11 months since I joined my first job. Being from an IIT, I only did DSA in college and got this job paying a decent 20lpa base salary. But when I first joined here I was put at bench for the first 6 months. I always used to ask for work but got very vague work of writing python scripts. Finally I was put in a project but the work mostly involves utilising python and MATLAB. I have started doing DSA again and learning MERN stack. I am applying to a lot of jobs but apparently my resume is not getting shortlisted anywhere. I want to make this switch but my biggest fear is that if I will be able to get an offer which matches this salary. Any advice how to get out of this situation ?

I am a backend engineer with a 9 year exp. In my fourth company now. Started with 5 lpa, now at 31 Lpa. Mostly have worked in normal companies only. I am from one of the NITs. I am not good at DSA. Everytime I have to switch a job, my resume gets shortlisted and I get call via naukri. The things is in these last 4 job searches I have been rejected 100 times. I have been rejected by almost all the companies, Service now 5-6 times, oracle 5-6 times, Walmart 2 times, goldman 3 times, jpmorgan 2 times, Amazon 4-5 times, arcesium 3-4 times, msft 2 times. Apart from these, I have been rejected by adp, celigo, phenom, barclays, flipkart etc. Every time, I want to change a job, I'll get rejected by all the big companies and then will get selected at some normal company with a hike and will join them. I am at my fourth company now, and again I am searching for a job. Have already been rejected by GS, service now, phenom, epam, ice, demandbase in last 2 months. Every time it is the same DSA. I try studying, will do decent amount of leetcode prior to interviews. Last two months I am doing leetcode from strivers sheet. But same question I'll do here, and in interview will fail. Example I have done sorted array rotation, shares sell and buy, rain water trapping, and was asked the same question in interview and couldn't solve. I also want to earn more and get into some big company and stay there for some times, what shall I do? My concerns are, I am getting lesser calls this time compared to the last few years, I can't be switching job every two years. Want to join a big company and earn more.

"Don't judge anyone by years of experience. Judge them by their skills." Okay, but recruiters will judge them by gender as well. Aur aapne to dono bhi (i don't consider LGTV) mention kiye hai. And what is this new trend of ~gaslighting?

I was in manual testing for 2 years. Left my job. Joined scaler. Cleared some mock interviews (except DSA). I am in desperate need of a job in developer role(full or backend). I need to clear DSA and ReactJS mock interview in order to be eligible for placements at scaler. I don’t see any other option now. And talking about DSA I don’t feel confident enough. Sometimes I go blank when there is a question. I don’t know to prepare DSA smartly and fast. Kindly suggest what should I do. (I’m not that bad at DSA. It’s just I’m not confident enough). So.. I’m open to all kind of possibilities and suggestions.

Hello everyone; I need your help. I am a Computer Science student about to reach my final year in the coming two months. I heard that we will be having placements in July and the competition is fierce since there are thousands and thousands of students looking for job/internship. Till date; I have done frontend development and I am good with HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. I know theoratical portion of JavaScript and jQuery but get stuck when told to implement logic in problem solving. [I also know React.js but very basic like routing, states and props, etc. since I was not able to give much time to it] Addtionally; I also did a 3month internship in this domain and know how to get the work done but technical interview may become a problem. [I got this opportunity through referral] I will be having my End Sem exams next week and it will go on for 10-12days. After that; I will be able to give full-time to learning and will have probably 1 or 1.5 month to upskill myself. I am planning to do DSA and Full-Stack Development so can anyone guide me on how can I become capable to compete and outperform my peers? It's just that I think I have wasted my 3 years of college and have fear that I won't be placed since I am lagging so much.

I am a JAVA backend dev, currently in TCS with 5.5 yrs of exp. I want to switch to a Product now. My dev skills are good. I have worked in few projects. With this many years of exp, the expectations are too high now, System Design, Kafka, Jenkins, Docker and DSA on top of that. I don't know how to start, once I start preparing DSA I feel like I am missing on reading system design and other stuff. Also, I don't feel confident about my DSA skills. Are there any devs here who were very bad in DSA but are very confident now. Please share your experiences in comments. Since I already have so many years of exp, this is my last chance to switch to a good product company. Please guide.

Hello guys, I did alot of DSA in my college time (Tier 3 college), I got the highest marks in my DSA sem exams in my class and my professor was impressed with me, I gave leetcode contests, learned DSA from YT and so on. I got placed in a decent company with a 7.5 LPA package (while my best friend, who hardly knew DSA got a SDET role in a startup with 40 LPA), now after 2 years my pacakge is 10 LPA, I want to switch to a better company with good pay, I restarted practising DSA again but everytime I get stuck in some question and not able to solve it, it feels like I am wasting my time. While in my job, I learned Angular, TypeScript and frontend dev (which interests me more than DSA, but I am too lazy to make my own side projects) what should I do? should I stick on to DSA even though sometimes I just feel like I am wasting my time solving some random question which doesn’t justify anything about me? or beat my laziness and make some side projects with the frontend skills that I have? any advice would help me. I know the title might seem weird. But here’s my dilemma Working as an SDE with 3 YOE in an product based company remotely. Have some developer + PM experience in a small startup before I never took DSA seriously and just learnt the basics a long time ago. I was appreciated at the startup about how I did PM work even though I wasn’t one officially. Shipped a couple of MVPs on my own as a side gig(had around 100-200 users) I miss some big tech experience definitely. So should I grind DSA and look for big SDE switch even though I don’t like it much or move to product ( the pay might be affected) or do an MBA and then do product (for strong credentials/chances)? I feel maybe I am scared to do DSA/System design since I don’t find total interest in it. If DSA, any suggestion on a very good course, paid/free doesn’t matter. My final goal - build great products and learn everything about what it takes to build them. Thanks
