Claim against airline baggage damage

Got my luggage broken by Air India, complained and they registered it. Gave me a slip confirming same.

Said my compensation will be sent over mail in form of AI voucher

No communication, no way to contact them (all numbers they gave are busy)

Paid extra for A350 and that's how it is

Anyone experienced it? How to get them to respond?

Airline will care! I have had such scenarios with Go Air ways and Indigo Airlines in the past. Once I got my refund for trolley. Once they broke the chain but didn't pay anything. Because I rejected voucher and insisted to file DPR and posted on social media.

You need to take pictures of your luggage before you drop. Also keep the bill of your luggage in your mobile.

This is the few ways. I saw in X, they got their claims.

I got a 50$ from Etihad for damaging the checked in luggage. You may need to take some pictures and explain the scenario to the airline with proofs

  1. Try to share it on twitter.

And share that twitter post with those who know you to comment/re-tweet.

  1. If you had booked via some 3rd party site like MMT or ClearTrip or similar, double check if the amount you paid is inclusive of any insurance or not.
