Companies coming for placement are selecting more Girls than boys this year. Any specific reason ?

I am from a Tier 1 college and we've our placement season going on. A lot of companies are visiting our campus and we noticed companies are recruiting more girls than boys. Even though they are less skilled. I am not against their empowerment or want to dominate them. I am just being curious over here. Any few findings from HR Dept.?

Diversity. Also how are you judging there levels of skills Also how do you know boys would fit better in the roles than them

What diversity sister, guys who had single handedly built multiple projects are getting rejected and papa ki paris who haven't ever opened any competitive coding platform or have never built any projects are getting placed.

Guess companies don't want employees who can use their brains.
Though your point can be valid for humans in general, having another organs need not be differentiating factor

This year??? Bruh this has been happening for the last decade or so in the name of diversity hiring and getting the ratios for men and women equal in the workforce

How do you know less skilled? Academic marks isn’t equivalent to interview skills and atm problem solving skills.

50 people shortlisted for interviews. Ratio of boys was way higher.

These things are necessary for the firms though annoying for applicants. One of my friends got hired in Delhi at a bank. Her role involved working from 4 different branches in her region during the week. She mentioned once that Wednesdays thru Fridays were her shittiest coz those branches did not have female washrooms and she had to make do entire day. This was very sad.

When a firm's employee ratio becomes skewed, these things happen and they (rightfully so) go into overdrive in addressing that. This problem is very skewed especially in Tech roles where teams are over 90% male.

Apply elsewhere and don't think much abt this.

Diversity hiring. Sucks but can't do much. Keep trying and ignore what's not in your control

I remember in my first company they used to hire a bunch of graduates every year as part of Graduate trainee program. In one of the batch they hired only girls. It was a batch of 60-70 girls only.
These things happen from time to time. Whether it's fair or unfair is not an easy question to answer. We can only accept and move on.

Discrimination against men is the formal policy in most companies and it's copied from the West. Just another instance of Indians following the West like a herd of sheep.

I gave this idea on another thread. Men, since you can't fight fear of getting labelled a misogynist and what not, the best idea for you is undergoing a gender change procedure. Insurance policies cover the cost. There is no incentive being a man.
