There is no issue with the thought, as a fresher if you don’t work hard and put some extra effort from your own after a while in the job the complexity of the task you get will increase while the estimates for the same will shrink.
If you worked in a way where your goal was somehow finish the task and didn’t learn anything from that, you will be in trouble as you gain experience.
Like others ate suggesting, gain skills, at what cost is upto you. Once you become decent or really good at what you do, it doesn’t take much to finish off anything unless you are trying to solve something which has not been done by many. Again situation like these will come later in life when you reach like staff, senior staff and all levels
