In my opinion, a good office have both spaces. For focused IC work, you need pvt spaces but for collaboration you need open spaces.
10:1 ratio for open seats vs cubicle is nice. Have noticed that IC work is done best in pvt focus areas but collab work is excellent in open spaces.
Unpopular opinion is that these cubicles look sexy and will qualify as a kickass work floor.
Having space is much better feel than the ambience.
